PEORIA, IL -- From a news release:

Sky Harbor Steakhouse and the Friends of Rocky Glen will offer a free Holiday Wine Tasting Party and Silent Art Auction on Thursday, November 21, 2013, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the restaurant, 1321 N Park Road  in Peoria.

The event includes live music by popular pianist and songwriter Shannon Moore from 7 – 10  pm, and the drawing of the winning raffle ticket for  Doug and Eileen Leunig’s  Light Painting of Rocky Glen, to benefit Peoria’s newest park, Rocky Glen.

The light painting is archival-quality, framed and matted, 27” x 35,” with conservation glass. Raffle tickets cost $5.00 each, and can be obtained either at Sky Harbor, or by calling David Pittman at 676-5237, or during the event prior to the 9:00 pm raffle drawing.

At least 10 complementary samples of five red and five white wines from a variety of distributors will be available. This year marks the 32^nd  consecutive year for this annual Sky Harbor holiday party. Fannie Mae chocolate display and samples will be available as well as the full Sky Harbor menu from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm.

The silent art auction will offer approximately 20 pieces, with pre-determined minimum bids featuring pottery, original framed acrylics, etchings, watercolors and dress accessories. No art piece will be priced above $200. Proceeds will benefit the financing of a parking lot for the 70 acre Rocky Glen Park which includes a historical box canyon and natural area located less than two miles from Sky Harbor.
