PEORIA, IL --From a news release:
PRHC (Peorians for Reproductive Health Care) will host a free admission, two night screening of “After Tiller” at the Landmark Theater, 3225 N. Dries Lane, Peoria, on July 25 and 26.
“After Tiller” is a documentary that takes an in-depth look at the experience of reproductive health care/abortion providers since the assassination of Dr. Tiller by a religious zealot in 2009.
These doctors put their lives on the line every day so that women can have safe access to their reproductive rights, despite being constantly targeted by the anti-choice community.
First screening is on Friday, July 25 at 7pm and the second showing is on Saturday, July 26th at 2pm. Both screenings are in auditorium 11. Landmark Theater map.
My take: this film should be a candidate for Peoria School District 150's new reproductive health curriculum. Students need to know their reproductive rights. And who the enemies of these rights are, and what they are capable of.
