Mystery Author Dorothy Cannell at Peoria Public Library October 26
Mystery author and former Peorian Dorothy Cannell will return to Peoria Public Library Main Library for “An Afternoon with Dorothy Cannell” to benefit the Friends of Peoria Public Library on Sunday, October 26 at 2:30 p.m.
The award-winning author, who made Peoria her home for many years, has published the first book in her new series, Murder at Mullings. The afternoon will include a delicious tea provided by Her Majesty’s English Tea Room at Fairchild’s and a gift bag with special gifts as well as book sales and signing. The author, who writes “cozy mysteries” launched her career in Peoria after she was inspired while watching an afternoon talk show. Dorothy is the author of 18 books and has been nominated for many awards. Murder at Mullings is the first in a new series and features Florence Norris, housekeeper. Her popular Ellie Haskell series as well as three stand-alone volumes have amused and enchanted readers for 30 years.
