PEORIA, IL -- The Peoria City Council voted to approve the ACLU free speech lawsuit, known as Twittergate, at its Sept. 8 meeting, without a word of comment.
Here's the PJS story on it.
And here's a very well done story in the Chicago Tribune.
And an even better one on the site of the Daily Beast.
Has Mayor Ardis learned his lesson? Don't count on it. The $125,000 settlement didn't come out of his pocket.
The estimated $250,000 this farce cost city taxpayers could have been better spent in many ways, as an hour-long discussion/argument over the social services budget at the same meeting demonstrated.
Ardis should have resigned long ago over this.
