PEORIA, IL -- The musical Pretty Woman opened tonight at the Peoria Civic Center theater, and plays again tomorrow, Feb. 19 before leaving town. It's fabulous.
The musical is brilliant -- great sets, great dialogue, great singing, great story and very skilled performers who dance, sing and act flawlessly.
This play can take your mind away from the horrors of politics for the evening. Yet it has its own political angles, from class conflict to rapacious capitalism to women's rights. And there's even a scene from an opera.
The evening had only one huge flaw -- no printed program. There's a QRcode to photograph, as if a show program can be easily read on a cell phone. The performers and show creators deserve recognition, in print, easily saved for future reference. Program ads would pay for the publication and likely provide a profit as well.

Anyway, this is a show not to be missed
